Federal politicians will today receive a clear message from ordinary families from across Australia. That message is, that all Australians want and deserve equal marriage rights.
More than 60 ordinary Australians arrive at Parliament House this morning to talk about marriage equality with more than 40 MPs from both sides of the house, including cabinet ministers and senior opposition politicians.
Alex Greenwich, campaign coordinator, said that more and more Australians were speaking out in support of equal rights for all Australians, and the time had come for Australian law to reflect the changed attitude of Australians.
“Marriage equality is about treating everybody and every family equally,” Mr Greenwich said.
